New Law Passed in Norway
June 24th, 2014
The Norwegian Parliament has passed new regulations for religious circumcision.
The new regulations come after a consultation on the subject which assessed options ranging from a total ban to no change to the status quo. The new regulations mean that a medical practitioner is now required to be at every circumcision and a new fee has been introduced. The Jewish Community in Norway has welcomed the fact that they will be able to continue circumcision in their country.
